Oh, God.

In 2006, an Azerbaijani guy called Makhmudov was taking a stroll down Kiev Zoo, in Ukraine, when he decided to prove a point regarding the existence of God. He climbed down a lion den where four felines where minding their own businesses, claiming out loud that if God existed, He would have saved him from the lions.
God apparently decided that the moron wasn’t worth the effort, because a lioness attached Makhmudov seizing his carotid artery.

Heading off.

Talking about suicide, at the beginnig of 20th century in the UK the most popular method for ending it was sticking the head in a coal oven in order to receive a fatal dose of CO2. As soon as the British Government switched to a more efficient fuel around mid-century, the suicide rate dropped by a third.

This is a further proof that, as we said before, suicide is often not premeditated, and sometimes it’s the result of a sudden short-timed decision combined with the proximity of an “easy way out”, like a weapon or a bridge.

The most popular day to commit suicide is Wednesday. Apparently the reason is not the deepest: it simply happens to be far away from the weekend from both sides.

Although severe depression is obviously involved, statistics show that often suicide is not premeditated, but the result of a particularly bad day.
